Dood, what a kickass entry! I just went and read up on Sun Wukong and Xuanzang and I gotta say, the trouble you went to, to decide on a myth was well worth it. D: It's SO fitting.

The foreshortening is really cool and I love the expressions on their faces ((especially Quenta's)). And you didn't forget the fins between his fingers! <3

Oh goood you have no idea!

I was hemming and hauling over it, trying to decide between Greek or Norse gods, looking up "family" trees, etc, and then while I was going through my bookshelf I found my copy of Journey to the West and was like "FFFFFFFFFFFF OF COURSE!"

I agree with Orca! Journey to the West is such a great story to choose. I had to go read up on it to and now I've ended up grabbing a freeware copy of it cause it just sounds so epic, comical and entertaining. :heart: the characters suit so well, also the foreshortening is so cool and the colors are so bright XDDD Good Luck in the contest!!

oh god, if you've seen the chinese adaptations for the story, they're all god-awful. This, however, is gorgeous. I've read some of the original text (by "original" i mean "in chinese," which is mostly abriged), and the characters are really hard to capture, so it's always fun looking at different takes on them.

I think there was a live action TV show in Japan, right? I just sort of know because the theme song is a level on Ouendan 2 XD
